Information Visualization

During my time at Affirma Digital, I partnered with clients to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual formats, including infographics, motion, e-books, and educational resources.

Below are a few examples that highlight the breadth of this work.

I focus on simplifying dense content through strong hierarchy and purposeful design to create intuitive and visually compelling experiences.

Infographics

After kickoff and discovery, I align on goals, audience, and messaging, then translate data and content into clear visual concepts using hierarchy and storytelling. I iterate with stakeholders to refine clarity and ensure alignment with brand and communication goals.

Included are examples of infographic work created for brands including Expedia, Travelocity, Microsoft, and Brooks Running.

Motion Design

As an extension of the infographic, I developed a motion piece to enhance storytelling and increase engagement across digital channels.

The animation was designed to guide users through the information with intention, using pacing, transitions, and visual hierarchy to emphasize key data points. This approach not only improved clarity, but also created a more immersive and memorable experience.

E-Books

I designed and formatted long-form e-books for Microsoft’s Azure team, transforming highly technical content into clear, structured, and visually accessible publications.

The process began with reviewing large, developer-written Word documents and collaborating with stakeholders to understand the intended audience, key messaging, and usability goals. From there, I translated the content into a cohesive layout system in InDesign, establishing typographic hierarchy, grid structure, and visual patterns to improve readability and flow across hundreds of pages.

Although the subject matter was highly technical, my focus was on creating an intuitive reading experience, organizing complex information into digestible sections, and ensuring consistency throughout the publication.

Final deliverables included Building Cloud-Native Applications with Node.js and Azure and Cloud Application Architecture Guide, both designed to make dense material more approachable and engaging for a broader audience.

Xbox Ambassador Report

In collaboration with the Xbox team, I led the redesign of their annual ambassador report, elevating it into a dynamic, brand-aligned presentation that made complex data more accessible and engaging.

I worked closely with stakeholders to understand the key insights and intended audience, then translated the content into a cohesive visual system. By applying thoughtful hierarchy, layout, and visual storytelling, I created a report that highlighted critical data points while maintaining consistency with the Xbox brand.
